Al mallorquín hablar de otros paraísos le  produce  cierto escepticismo, ya que considera que Mallorca es el paraíso; pero existen. No relacionaré playas idílicas, paisajes insuperables, ciudades abrumadoras; sería un ejercicio imposible. Simplemente, enfatizaré la necesidad de acercarse a ellos con pasión, entusiasmo e intensidad, ya que para vivirlos se requiere avidez y deseo. Además, disfrutar de esos otros paraísos  nos permite, al regresar, confirmar que somos enormemente afortunados de habitar en nuestro propio edén.

Un jardín de transición.

                                

 

When mentioning other paradises to people from Majorca, don’t be surprised if your comments are met with a certain degree of disbelief, as they are convinced that Majorca is paradise on earth; yet they do exist. It would be impossible to list all the heavenly beaches, breathtaking landscapes or magnificent cities; but perhaps what matters most is to observe and experience them with passion, enthusiasm and intensity, as living them to the full requires eagerness and desire. What’s more, enjoying these alternative paradises allows us to realise on our return, just how tremendously fortunate we are to be able to live in our very own earthly paradise.

A garden of transition.

                                

 

Wenn man einem Mallorquiner von anderen Paradiesen erzählt, ist er ziemlich skeptisch, denn er hält Mallorca für das Paradies. Aber es gibt auch andere. Ich werde hier keine idyllischen Strände, unübertreffliche Landschaften, überwältigende Städte aufzählen; das wäre unmöglich. Ich möchte einfach darauf hinweisen, dass man sie mit Begeisterung, Enthusiasmus und Intensität betrachten muss, denn um sie zu erleben, muss man das auch wirklich wollen. Zudem können wir dann, wenn wir diese anderen Paradiese genossen haben, bei der Rückkehr bestätigen, dass wir enormes Glück haben, in unserem eigenen Garten Eden leben zu dürfen.

К рассказам о других райских местах жители Мальорки относятся скептически, поскольку считают, что рай находится именно здесь. Однако существуют и другие райские уголки. Не буду приводить здесь перечень  идиллических пляжей, непревзойдённых по красоте пейзажей и неотразимых городов: это было бы просто невозможно. Я просто подчеркну, что к ним надо относиться с увлечением, энтузиазмом и определенным напором, ведь для того чтобы познать их, нужно иметь большое желание. И, кроме всего прочего, насладившись этими райскими местами, по возвращении мы сможем еще раз подтвердить, что нам выпала огромная удача - жить в нашем собственном раю.
